Letting Go of Anger, Resentment and Frustration
Half Day Course
Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre
Saturday 21 Sep, 10am – 1pm
Anger harms our health, our relationships and our peace of mind. In this half day course we will learn why we get irritated, frustrated and angry, how these feelings arise, and how we can prevent them. We will also explore how to deal with anger in others.
We often respond to difficult situations by becoming unhappy and angry. However, this just destroys our mental peace and prevents us from making good and beneficial decisions. Buddha taught powerful methods for letting go of anger. On this course, we will explore some simple techniques for letting go of anger and maintaining a calm and positive mind when things become difficult or go wrong.
This course will include guided meditations, which will help us to develop a peaceful and positive mind. Day Courses are an ideal way to learn more about meditation and inner peace. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
The cost of the half day course is £12.50 (GP Centre Card £5). Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the course.
This course will be taught by Gen Kelsang Päljin the Resident Teacher of Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre and of Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley. He is a Buddhist monk with over 20 years’ experience of practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism.
