Finding Happiness from Within
Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Keighley
Sunday 8 December, 10am – 5pm
Step back from your normal activities and focus on solving your problems through meditation practice, using powerful techniques practiced for thousands of years.
True happiness cannot be attained by ever increasing control over our external world. Happiness and suffering only exist within the mind, and so their origins cannot to be found outside the mind. In order to really achieve permanent happiness and freedom from all suffering, we must first achieve peace in our own minds. During this retreat day we will explore meditations that enable us to access and maintain inner peace and joy, even when experiencing difficulties in our life.
Everyone is welcome. The retreat is suitable for beginners and also those with experience.
10am – 11.15am – Session 1 guided meditation
11.45am – 12.45pm – Session 2 guided meditation
2.15pm – 3.30pm – Session 3 guided meditation
4pm – 5pm – optional Session 4 (Heart Jewel with guided meditation)
