Forgiving Yourself and Others
In Person @ Burnley KBC & Livestream
Saturday 10 July, 10am – 1pm
(available for 48 hours after on catch up)
Learn about the deep healing and freedom that is possible through the power of forgiveness. By dwelling on the harm done to us, we harm ourselves even more. By learning how to forgive ourself and others we can move in the direction of health, loving relationships and a happy life.
We can all feel hurt sometimes, as a result of the words or actions of others. We may find it hard to let go of that hurt and forgive others. This often leads to us feeling anger or resentment. If we don’t have a skilful way to recognise and let go of that hurt, anger and resentment it can easily undermine our peace of mind and happiness, as well as harmony in our relationships.
Also, we may say or do hurtful things to others from time-to-time, and find it hard to forgive ourself. This feeling of guilt and shame can leave us feeling bad about ourself and undermine our own peace of mind and self-esteem.
In this workshop we will learn proven meditations and methods that enable us to change this. We will learn how we can view every situation with the wisdom and compassion that empowers us to let go of feelings of hurt, anger or resentment towards others, or guilt and shame towards ourself.
Meditation Workshops are an ideal way to learn more about meditation and inner peace. They are designed for those who are new to meditation but also for those who would like to improve and deepen their understanding.
The cost is £15 (£5 for Monthly Members and free for FP members).
This morning workshop will be taught by Kelsang Dra-ma, one of the teachers at Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley. She is a student on Buddha Land Centre’s Teaching Training Programme.
