Realised Masters of Meditation – Lineage and Practice of Kadampa Buddhism
In-Person at Buddha Land, Keighley & Livestreamed Online
Saturday 7 November, 10am – 5pm
(available for 48 hours after on catch up)
An opportunity to learn about Kadampa Buddhism, how it arose, and how its practices can help us to find greater spirituality. Particularly we will learn about the founder of Kadampa Buddhism Je Tsongkhapa, the power of his blessings and his importance in Modern Buddhism.
Je Tsongkhapa, whose ordained name was Losang Dragpa, was a great 14th century Tibetan Buddhist Master who promoted and developed the Kadampa Buddhism that Atisha had introduced three centuries earlier. He patiently taught the Tibetans everything they needed for their spiritual development, from the initial step of entering into a spiritual practice through to the ultimate attainment of Buddhahood. Through the kindness of realized practitioners those teachings have gradually spread throughout the world, particularly in recent years through the work of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
During this day course we will learn about these realised practitioners and the practices that they handed down. Particularly we will look at the Heart Jewel practice and how through engaging in it we can gain deep experience and realizations.
The cost of the Day Course is £20 (£15 for Monthly Members, £5 FP member).
