Wheel of Life
Meditation Half Day Course
@ Buddha Land KMC, Keighley
Saturday 26 April, 10am – 1pm
In-person
The diagram of Wheel of Life was drawn by Buddha Shakyamuni to teach the complete path to enlightenment.
During this course we will receive explanation of how we can use it to guide us in our meditation practice and inspire us in our spiritual life. We will learn why we experience the sufferings and problems that we do, and how we can permanently break free from these.
By contemplating the meaning of verse, in conjunction with the symbolism of the Wheel of Life, we will learn:
How our human life developed in dependence upon craving and grasping
How our unhappiness depends on the mind of ignorance, and how, by abandoning this ignorance, we can remain peaceful even amidst the most challenging circumstances
How to escape the suffering, known as samsara, and attain the everlasting happiness of nirvana
This course is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced meditators.
Refreshments are available in our World Peace Café during the course.
The cost of the Meditation Workshop is £15 (Monthly Members £5, FP Monthly Members £0).
Our monthly membership programme offers access to all our weekly classes as well as discounts on courses for only £20 per month – Learn more.
