Unwind in the Yorkshire Dales in the first of our 2 days  of meditation retreat at Bolton Abbey Village Hall.  A day retreat is an ideal opportunity to gain a deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings and have a special experience of inner peace.


The Walks for World Peace combine walking and meditation, giving an opportunity to meet like minded people from the various meditation groups run by Buddha Land. Walks range in length from a short stroll to longer walks upto 3 hrs that including a break for lunch. On route there is a simple guided meditation that is suitable for beginners and those experience in meditation alike.

Meditation Workshops

Meditation is a powerful technique for developing a peaceful mind and inner good qualities. The meditation workshops provide quality meditation with clear explanations of the skills required to create stillness within, but are shorter and lighter than our day courses.

A meditation workshop consists of two sessions that include guided meditations, explanation, and discussion. The emphasis is on practicing meditation and applying the experience we gain from it to improve the quality of our life.

Workshops are a perfect way to both relax and develop internally. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.

Sunday Out

sunday_out380sq Enjoy calming guided meditations and short teaching followed by a speciality brunch at our World Peace Café, and a chance to meet others interested in meditation.
At the same time a Children’s Meditation Class will be held in our second meditation room making meditation accessible for young people. The children’s classes include a short teaching, guided meditation and craft activities.

Pay as You Feel (PAYF).

Please book in advance.

The meditation classes run from 11am til 12noon. Then Brunch will be served in our cafe at noon. You are welcome to come just for the meditation class if you don’t want to stay on for brunch. The children’s class is suitable for anyone under 13 and over 5 but an adult needs to come along as well.

We run a variety of meditation courses mainly at the weekend including morning or afternoon courses, full day events, away retreats with overnight stays and meal & meditation events.

Currently we able to offer most of our courses online as well as in person.

Please book in advance using our online booking – payment will be processed by PayPal.

Our Burnley and Keighley centres have World Peace Cafes where refreshments are available during courses.
